Another day, another new project announcement from the ever-busy Amy Schumer. The comedian and actress’s new BFF Jennifer Lawrence recently told The New York Times that the two are cowriting a screenplay for a film in which they will play (hopefully hilarious) sisters.
“We’re almost done writing. It just flowed out of us. We’ve got about 100 pages right now,” Lawrence told The Times. “Amy and I were creatively made for each other,” she continued. “We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up.”
The creative partnership comes quickly on the heels of the pair’s newfound friendship, which began when Lawrence emailed Schumer after seeing Trainwreck earlier this year, and was made known to the public when Schumer posted pictures of the two jet-skiing in the Hamptons on her Instagram.
