It’s hard to tell whether Pasadena’s Just Like Heaven is slowly evolving from its initial reputation as an indie-rock nostalgia festival or if the artists who elicit a sense of nostalgia are just getting younger. Today the event announced its 2026 lineup with The Strokes headlining, along with sets from aughts-era peers including LCD Soundsystem, Feist, The Rapture, and Chromeo. And beyond the sprinkling of recent phenoms—This Is Lorelei, whom everyone and their father is covering these days; EBM party-starters Pixel Grip; EKKSTACY—the lineup feels a bit more focused on figures that defined various corners of the 2010s alt scene: Matt & Kim, Coco & Clair Clair, recent collaborators George Clanton and TV Girl, and Chicago scene staples Whitney and Twin Peaks.
“This is such a unique and special lineup, it all feels core Just Like Heaven but also entirely brand new at the same time,” noted Goldenvoice Executive VP Stacy Vee of this year’s slate of performers. Added Chromeo, “So many bands we’ve played alongside for years, bands whose cultural relevance is as great as ever today! Also amazing to see all the newer acts on the lineup, whose sound points towards this golden era of eclectic indie music. We’re thrilled to return as performers—as JLH’s official ambassadors of the funk, yeah we said it—and also to attend as fans.”
