Suki Waterhouse shared a handful of singles last year while promoting her tours in support of 2024’s Memoir of a Sparklemuffin, but “Back in Love” is different: This latest track marks the artist’s first release for Island Records after dropping her first two records via Sub Pop. The single is as bold as its title and context might suggest, with the vocalist-actress-model sounding newly at home on the celebratory cut. “The phrase ‘Back in Love’ reflects many ideas,” Waterhouse shared. “For me, it’s about coming back to your sense of self after having an identity shift.”
The track’s music video was directed by Kaz Firpo and it sees Waterhouse shrugging off a few arrows to the chest in the midst of a live show. Check it out below, and catch her at Lolla and Hinterland this summer—please leave your bows at home.
