The name “Alpenglow” refers to the moment just before dawn, or right after sunset, when the sun emits a red glow on the horizon opposite its location. Its effect is best viewed in the mountains, where the hills can trap and frame the light particles sneaking their way around from the region past the eyeline.

This would likely be a good place and time to listen to the band Alpenglow, a Brooklyn-via-Burlington quartet specializing in dreamy folk fit for a tastefully curated camping playlist. They’ve released a few EPs so far, but are currently prepping their full-length debut for release, from which you can now hear the track “Dreaming Too Much”—a measured rock number in the spirit of Z-era My Morning Jacket or early Fleet Foxes.

If you’re on the east coast, you can catch Alpenglow on tour in the next few months. Dates are below.
