It’s now officially Labor Day weekend, and that means it’s your last chance to wear white and soak up the sun before fall and winter conspire to drain the life out of the environment. And there’s no better way to ease into the last mini-bacchanal of the season than with Housse de Racket‘s “Turquoise,” a shifty, spry dance number that sneaks a bit of melancholy into the party via a low-hanging synth line. We’ve got the premiere for the song’s lyric video below—pack up the beach bag and come along.

Following the title track, “Turquoise” is the second single from Housse de Racket’s forthcoming The Tourist, the French duo’s third album (and first since 2011’s Alesia). “We listened to Fleetwood Mac, Spacemen 3, XTC, Steel Pulse, Alan Vega, Ravel, Laurie Anderson, Miles Davis, Television,” they say of The Tourist‘s influences in a statement. “Everything we could get our hands on.”

If that broad range of proper nouns—and the album’s title—may suggest a certain dilletantisme, perish the though: “Turquoise” shows that they’ve managed to unify these disparate styles into a single, seamless sound.

The Tourist is out October 30. Preorders can be made here.
