It was announced earlier this year that the LA Phil would be celebrating the music of Wes Anderson’s filmography in honor of his debut feature Bottle Rocket turning 30, though details beyond that were scarce. This morning, the Hollywood Bowl announced the first round of artists paying tribute on stage, which include aughts-era indie heavy-hitters including Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O, Beck, Spoon’s Britt Daniel, and My Morning Jacket’s Jim James, along with songwriting icons like Jackson Browne and Rufus Wainwright. The event will also feature two of Anderson’s collaborators on 2004’s The Life Aquatic: composer Mark Mothersbaugh (who also provided music for each of Anderson’s prior films) and Zissou nemesis Alistair Hennessey, a.k.a. Jeff Goldblum.

The event will take place on the evenings of July 10 – 12, with more performers yet to be announced. For now, check out the venue’s announcement post below.
