Love Spells entered 2026 with a new level of exposure after appearing on half of the tracks across Kevin Abstract’s latest solo album, Blush, as well as landing an opening spot for Sharon Van Etten & the Attachment Theory at The Wiltern last year. All of which primed Taegan Harris to recently drop the new single “Crutch,” which followed a slew of loose tracks released over the course of 2025 that were ultimately compiled within his The Love I Showed You Was Yours to Keep EP.
To celebrate the release of “Crutch” at the end of last month, Love Spells wound up selling out the cozy Permanent Records event space in LA. The show—and the single it was thrown to honor—proved that Harris has plenty of momentum as we move into the summer and anticipate the dream-pop experimentalist’s next chapter.
