The Strokes have shared a new single entitled “Falling Out of Love,” which is set to be included on their new LP Reality Awaits and which they’ll properly debut tomorrow night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. During the chorus, Julian Casablancas sings: “I denied, for a while / Fallin’ out of love for the first time / Some things are flawed by design / But I’m fine for the first time.” He concludes, “I guess I’ll sing alone.”
The track follows “Going Shopping,” which will also be included on the group’s seventh album. Arriving June 26 via RCA, the project was recorded in Costa Rica with Rick Rubin, though they finished making the LP “around the globe.” Check out “Falling Out of Love” below, and pre-order Reality Awaits here.
