For two years now, Charli XCX has dominated pop culture—from her album Brat to the film and fashion ventures that that record’s success suddenly invited for the pop music veteran. As we’re still digesting her soundtrack to Wuthering Heights from earlier this year, and anticipating seemingly dozens more film roles for her in 2026 and beyond, Charli has announced that her next musical chapter will begin this summer with the release of Music, Fashion, Film, the rock album she’s been teasing for a few weeks now which has already been preceded by the singles “SS26” and the self-descriptive “Rock Music” (2026 seems to be the year of artists embracing genre tags again).
Today’s news doesn’t coincide with another new single, but perhaps something even more intriguing: a black-and-white album cover featuring a portrait of Martin Scorsese, fashion mogul Marc Jacobs, and Charli’s Wuthering Heights collaborator John Cale. No word yet on whether Marty will be singing backup on any of these songs.
