The Prince Estate has announced the forthcoming release of Timeless, which features 10 previously unheard tracks. Unlike other compilations from his famous Vault, this new collection encompasses songs from across his career, with tracks recorded between 1977 and 2016 when the artist passed. The album will be released on August 28 via the estate’s deal with Sony’s Legacy Recordings.
Even better news: We get to hear one of those songs now. “Stone” was recorded in the spring of 1995 and written by Sandra St. Victor, Tom Hammer, and Jules Van Even. All this good stuff is tied into Prince Celebration 2026, which is happening right now through June 7 across Paisley Park and downtown Minneapolis.
