Gurriers are back with “Party Lines, which will be included on the band’s forthcoming LP Nobody’s Coming to Save You. The chaotic dance-punk track is built around anxious guitars and a drum groove that recalls the type of mid-2000s UK-indie sound created by bands like Bloc Party and Klaxons. Gurriers wrote the single while learning about the horrifying escalation of the Sudanese civil war.
Following their 2024 debut Come and See (and a performance at FLOODfest a year later), the Dublin group’s sophomore album will arrive on September 25 via PIAS. Check out the Thomas James–directed video for “Party Lines” below, and pre-order the record here. You can also revisit our conversation with the band prior to taking the stage in Austin last year here.
