L’Rain has released “Borderline,” the second single from her forthcoming LP Fata Morgana. The video for the track was directed by Mackai Sharp and features appearances from Cécile McLorin Salvant, Arooj Aftab, Tasha (who recently recruited L’Rain for her own new LP), Rena Anakwe, and E. Jane. The cinematic visual also features a massive block of ice, which is a tribute to Taja Cheek’s mother, who loved chewing on ice.
Alongside the single, L’Rain has announced a fall tour, set to begin on September 14 in Kingston, New York. Check out the clip for ”Borderline” below, and pre-order Fata Morgana here.
