After the Internet outrage that was sparked by Vanity Fair‘s recent (and, quite literally, manly) photo spread of late-night talk show hosts, people have been coming out of the woodwork to remind television viewers that the late-night game is much more diverse and spread out than this photo would lead you to believe. Samantha Bee‘s at the helm of her own talk show (that will be premiering in January), Neil DeGrasse Tyson is currently blowing minds on NatGeo’s Star Talk, and now Craig Ferguson is bringing his sitting-behind-a-desk chops to the History Channel.

History, which is usually associated with unintentionally hilarious reenactments, has picked up a show starring the former Late Late Show host entitled Join or Die. Variety reports that the show will follow a guest panel format and that “viewers will also be allowed to join the conversation through social media. Topics will range from the biggest presidential campaign flop and who was the greatest founding father to which invention was history’s greatest game changer.”

There’s no set premiere date yet, but it’s sure to get loud, informative, and pretty strange. Remember, this is coming from the man whose talk show sidekick was a robot skeleton named Geoff Peterson
