Build Art Make Change has announced Contra-ICE Vol. 1: ICE Out, a new benefit compilation aiming to amplify immigrant rights. The massive 47-track compilation features previously unreleased music from a slew of artists including Kathleen Hanna, Ad-Rock, Tom Morello, Fred Armisen, Ozomatli, Fishbone, Money Mark, Jello Biafra, Adrian Quesada, and more, all curated by BAMC founder Dali Colorado.
The first single is a cover of DJ Snake and Justin Bieber’s “Let Me Love You” recorded by Kathleen Hanna with Ad-Rock, Money Mark, Fredo Ortiz, and Frank Figueroa. “It’s not often you get to play music with your favorite people while working with a grassroots organization like Contra-ICE,” Hanna shared. “They are passionately fighting against fascism and white supremacy, which is something none of us can afford to ignore. Mario Caldato Jr. produced our song which was a dream come true for me. Thank you so much to Contra-ICE for making this happen and allowing me to represent what we collectively stand for.”
