Danielle Ponder is back with “God of You,” which will be featured on the songwriter’s forthcoming sophomore album, Everything Has Changed. Written by Ponder and Mike Elizondo, with additional production by friend of the program Bartees Strange, the single was partly inspired by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You.”
“God of You”—which follow’s last month’s “Sun and Moon”—arrives with a music video shot in Dakar, Senegal and directed by Fede Kortez, tying it into the visual world of the record’s first single, “Power.” Check out “God of You” below, and pre-order Everything Has Changed here ahead of its October 9 release via Dead Oceans in partnership with Phoebe Bridgers.
