Charlotte Adigéry and Bolis Pupul are back with “Googoo Gaga,” the duo’s first new collaborative release since their debut album Topical Dancer in 2022. A touching meditation on parenthood, the single features moving lyrics from Adigéry: “Still don’t know what that mom guilt’s for / 24/7 knocking at my door / Never let fear be your guide / Life is gonna bruise him anyhow.”
Regarding the single, which was produced by Soulwax, the duo explained: “It takes a village, and yet you’re doing it alone. This record was made as we both became parents: ‘Googoo Gaga’ is about feeling drained, the self-sacrifice, the overwhelm, yet embracing all of it.”
