Big day for Death Cab for Cutie diehards: The indie rockers have shared a music video for “Stone Over Water,” which was featured on the band’s 2026 LP I Built You a Tower. The visual was directed and animated by songwriter and fellow ANTI- Records signee Sean Solomon, formerly of the post-punk trio Moaning. “I normally animate music videos for my own songs, but I found this song incredibly personal, even though it wasn’t mine,” Solomon shared. “I think everyone can relate to the little man in the video having a bad day. But I wanted the video to ultimately have a positive message even though it’s sad. Everyone is going through something, and sometimes helping others can be a way to get out of our own heads and remember we’re not alone.”
Death Cab is also set to to roll through North America this coming spring. Their tour will kick off on March 11 in Nashville with Swapmeet set to support on the run. Check out the dates below, in addition to the video for “Stone Over Water.”
