Returning for its fifth year at Pier 80 in San Francisco, Portola Music Festival is a tastemaker-driven paradise for electronic music fans, offering a highly curated lineup of the best in dance music and cutting-edge electronic subgenres. The 2026 edition featured a cross-section of EDM titans (Tiësto, Four Tet, the return of Skrillex and Boys Noize’s Dog Blood), electronica trailblazers (Fatboy Slim, Tricky, DJ Shadow celebrating 30 years of Entroducing.....), and newcomers to the scene (Adéla, underscores, Fcukers).

There were also Swedes everywhere: Beyond dance-pop icon Robyn and powerhouse trio Swedish House Mafia’s headlining sets, two of the biggest draws were alt-pop favorite Tove Lo and newly minted pop superstar Zara Larsson, who surprised the crowd with a guest appearance from Robyn during her set. Other highlights included Beastie Boy Mike D, electro-pop five-piece Parcels, and colorful, experimental party-starter Gelli Haha.
