Moonage Daydream filmmaker Brett Morgen has announced that he’s working with the David Bowie estate for a “global immersive event” adapted from the stage show Bowie created for his 1978 tour. Created in association with the Berlin Film Festival, the forthcoming Stage film will be created from unseen 35mm film footage of a concert Bowie performed at London’s Earls Court. The show was performed in promotion for Bowie’s 1977 LP "Heroes", though the forthcoming film is named after the live album that dropped a year later. Footage will be projected at venues alongside a light show designed by Patrick Woodroffe and an audio mix by Academy Award winner Paul Massey

“David Bowie has bestowed upon us an extraordinary treasure—an unprecedented concert experience that has yet to be witnessed,” shared former AEG Live President of International Touring Rob Hallett. “Working hand-in-hand with David Bowie’s Estate and Brett Morgen, we are ensuring this experience is 100 per cent faithful to his legacy while making his genius accessible to global fans and a new generation.”
