Pixies have shared four tracks previously unavailable on streaming services, dating from 1987 to 1991. The songs—“Dig for Fire (Albini Version),” “Go Man Go,” “Brackish Boy,” and “Punk Loop”—were previously released on bonus 7-inch singles.
The Steve Albini–recorded version of “Dig for Fire” was tracked in late 1987 during the sessions for Surfer Rosa, while “Go Man Go” was co-written by Black Francis and Kim Deal and recorded by both Pixies and the Breeders during the sessions for Bossanova and Last Splash, respectively.
The Dinked International Editions of Bossanova and Trompe le Monde were both released on September 11, each accompanied by a bonus 7-inch single. The Bossanova edition featured “Dig for Fire (Albini Version)” and “Go Man Go,” while Trompe le Monde included “Brackish Boy” and “Punk Loop.” All four tracks are now available on streaming services.
