Following last week’s announcement that Chris Rock will host the Oscars, today it was announced that Ricky Gervais will in turn host the Golden Globes—meaning that networks have officially given up on caring if anyone is offended by their broadcasts.

Both Rock and Gervais have hosted their respective ceremonies before (Rock in 2005 and Gervais from 2010 to 2012), and both have made waves for daring to make fun of celebrities (and Mel Gibson) straight to their stupidly good looking faces.

Gervais himself had previously vowed to never host the ceremony again after 2012, which was following 2011, when he had described picking up the then-president of the Hollywood Foreign Press, Philip Berk, off of the bathroom floor. Berk was none too pleased.

Below you can watch Gervais’ most recent Golden Globes monologue from 2012. Still no word whether Johnny Depp has seen The Tourist yet.

The 73rd Golden Globe Awards air January 10 on NBC.
