Our first look at Netflix’s W/ Bob and David almost felt like a deep cut from Mr. Show‘s original run. Today, we get a second glimpse into what the new series will be like, and while David Cross‘s irate libertarian character would have been a ripe target for parody seventeen years ago, the sketch’s take on police brutality is depressingly current. You can watch below as Cross—or, Gilvin Daughtry—goes to great lengths to demonstrate the corruption and brutality of law enforcement, only to have to revert to a sadly time-honored method of inciting police violence.
