The duo behind Moors has some pretty great things coming up. The musical project of producer HH and sometime-actor Keith Stanfield (who appeared in last year’s excellent Short Term 12, and will be playing a young Snoop Dogg in the upcoming NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton) is getting ready to release the debut self-titled EP later this month, and in anticipation you can listen to their latest single, “Smoke.”
Much like the title of the track implies, it’s one that creeps into your ears slowly before gradually capturing your full attention. The slow-moving beats blend with the lyrics and evoke a swaying, almost sultry, groove. For a chilled-out afternoon, this should be your new go-to song.
