On June 17, 1994, all of America was glued to their television sets as O. J. Simpson’s white Ford Bronco barreled up the 405 north in one of the most famous car chases in history. Now, with its upcoming limited series about Simpson’s murder case, FX hopes to recapture that uneasy excitement and, hopefully, high ratings.
Yesterday, the basic cable network released the first trailer for American Crime Story: The People v. O. J. Simpson—which follows the highly televised aftermath of the double murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Lyle Goldman from the perspective of lawyers. Based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book The Run of His Life: The People v. O. J. Simpson, American Crime Story‘s cast includes Cuba Gooding Jr. (O. J. Simpson), John Travolta (Robert Shapiro), Sarah Paulson (Marcia Clark), Bruce Greenwood (Gil Garcetti), David Schwimmer (Robert Kardashian), Selma Blair (Kris Kardashian), and Courtney B. Vance (Johnnie Cochran).
