Neon Indian

Neon Indian have been riding high on the release of last year’s VEGA INTL. Night School, a wild grab-bag of synth funk, sound collage, and chillwave. Last night, Alan Palomo brought that mélange of sound (courtesy of a crackerjack live band) to the Music Hall of Williamsburg for a Converse Rubber Tracks live show. The concert series invites major indie groups to hand-select their opening act in a particular city, and Palomo chose the excellent local post-wave group Future Punx, whose single “Any Other Way” we premiered last summer, and who recently recorded at the Converse Rubber Tracks studio. Photographer Alex Pines was on hand to catch both sets, and you can see her pictures below.
