2016. AMERICAN MASTERS | Loretta Lynn: Still A Mountain Girl – Trailer

February has just begun, but, for country music fans, the end of this month couldn’t come soon enough. Everyone’s biding their time until March, when two of our most anticipated albums of the year will be released including newcomer Margo Price‘s Third Man debut and living legend’s Loretta Lynn first new LP in over a decade. To accompany the release of Full Circle, the follow-up to 2004’s Van Lear Rose, a brand-new PBS documentary about Lynn’s life and career will premiere on March 4.

Loretta Lynn: Still a Mountain Girl will feature exclusive home movies and photos, live footage,  and interviews with the singer-songwriter as well as artists who have worked with Lynn and have been influenced by her amazing career that spans over half a century.

In the first trailer released for this American Masters installment, which was unveiled this morning, Jack White, Miranda Lambert, Sheryl Crow, and Sissy Spacek (who won an Oscar for portraying Lynn in 1980’s Coal Miner’s Daughter) speak about the effect that Lynn’s music and life have had on their own.

Loretta Lynn: Still a Mountain Girl premieres Friday, March 4, on PBS.
