When you think of breezy sunshine pop, you probably don’t think of black masses, healing crystals, and dudes in suits doing a dead-man’s-float in fancy swimming pools. But that’s because you haven’t yet seen the debut video from Nashville’s Sun Seeker, the latest signing to Jack White’s Third Man Records.
The video, which we’re proud to be premiering today, soundtracks “Georgia Dust,” from the band’s debut 7”. It’s a timeless piece of pop that could’ve come out at just about any time in the last thirty or so years, its good vibes augmented and tweaked toward melancholy by the peal of a pedal steel guitar. If there’s a sound more diametrically opposed to fellow Third Man signees Wolf Eyes, we don’t know what it is.
