Love Streams, Tim Hecker’s aggressive take on ambient music—or, “liturgical aesthetics after Yeezus,” as he puts it—isn’t out until April, but today the sound sculptor released an excerpt from the album. The cut, which is accompanied by some appropriately hazy visuals of cars putt-putting down a freeway, finds Hecker taking hold of a massive ray of sound and trying to hold it steady while Jóhann Jóhannsson’s choir looks on.
