It seems that Bob Dylan’s camp is perpetually busy. In the last several years, there have been numerous reissue projects, and just last week, there was the announcement of an “endless ocean” of archive materials being given to an Oklahoma university alongside artifacts from Woody Guthrie and Native Americans.
Then there’s the studio albums. Dylan’s most recent was last year’s Shadows in the Night—a collection of Frank Sinatra covers—and today Fallen Angels was announced alongside a tour. Currently, though, that’s all we have in the way of information (the only thing we can really add is that it’s plausible that the album is named after Otto Preminger’s 1945 noir Fallen Angel). We were, however, given the dates and info for a new North American tour, which will find Dylan accompanied by Mavis Staples—his one-time girlfriend—who is supporting Livin’ on a High Note.
You can check out those dates, and a trailer for Fallen Angel, below.
