When it comes to movies, you can never have too many things that show off your appreciation for the best that the silver screen has to offer. The Criterion Collection—which has turned classic and contemporary films into high quality disc and digital formats for the past thirty years—is now releasing a hardcover book full of gorgeous artistic interpretations of its film picks simply titled Criterion Designs.
The book includes art from illustrators and designers who reinterpreted various film promotional pieces (covers, posters, and never-before-seen sketches) to fit their visions. You could look through these pages for hours and get lost in the art of films like Eraserhead, A Hard Day’s Night, Rushmore, along with so many others. Kind of makes you wonder which of your favorite movies are in there, doesn’t it? And even if none are, it’s still pretty cool seeing influential films through new eyes.
Criterion Designs will be released on November 25 and you can preorder it now at the Criterion website.
