LIVE, IN PHOTOS: Outside Lands (8/11–13/2017)

It wouldn’t be San Francisco without a little weirdness and a lot of exultation, and Outside Lands delivered exactly that on its tenth anniversary: Headliners A Tribe Called Quest first postponed, then cancelled, their set, following the lead of Queens of the Stone Age, who pulled out late last month due to injury. For the opening night of their upcoming tour, Gorillaz brought out just about every guest artist they could find, and Metallica played a raucous two-hour homecoming set.

But of course, Golden Gate Park is a big place, and there were stories playing out across the grounds. Photographer Adrian Santos was on hand to capture it; you can follow along with him below.
