WATCH: Electronica Legend Giorgio Moroder Returns With His First Album in Over Thirty Years; Releases Video for “74 Is the New 24”

The as-of-yet-untitled record is due out in spring 2015 via Sony/RCA.

At age 74, Giorgio Moroder would be forgiven for quietly withdrawing from the youth-driven electronica scene. But following a Daft Punk collaboration (and a subsequent renewed interest in his career), Moroder is back with his first proper studio album since 1980’s E=MC2.

Though still without an official release date or title, the album will drop sometime in the spring of 2015, and will feature all-star appearances by Kylie Minogue, Charli XCX, Britney Spears, and many more.

This is just the latest project for Moroder, whose impressive resume includes three Grammys and three soundtrack Oscars, not to mention the co-writing of classics like Bowie’s “Cat People (Putting Out Fire)” and Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” (a track that Beck recently paid tribute to on his tour).
