TGI Friday’s Mistletoe Drone, 2014

It’s about that time of the year when all of the green-and-red bows and garland start lining the walls of every single establishment you walk into—or honestly, that’s the way it has been for the past month, and it’s kind of sickening.

Not to be outdone by every other chain eatery in the seasonal cheer department, TGI Fridays is kicking up their “legendary celebrations” up a notch…or ten. All around the UK, several of their restaurants are introducing the “mistletoe drones” (the name alone already sounds like science fiction nightmare) that will fly around, swoop over your sure-to-be excellent dining experience, and pressure you to kiss that person next to you in the booth. If having a military mistletoe drone barging into your conversation with a gust of wind and rumbling noise, pushing for a kiss doesn’t sound like great holiday fun to you, then you haven’t seen TGI Fridays promotional #Togethermas video yet!

Watch it now and bask in the glory of the drones. Oh, the romance of the holidays, complete with fried foods and creepy helicopter kiss cams, just like the days of old.
