If you follow @007 on Twitter, then Christmas came early for you this week, as the official James Bond account announced the cast and details of the twenty-fourth Bond movie, one tweet after another. And they did not disappoint. The film is set to come out in November 6, 2015 and will be called Spectre, the acronym for Special Executive for Counterintelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion. Bond fans will already recognize that name as the criminal organization that Bond has been fighting since 1962’s Dr. No.
To join Daniel Craig, who will continue playing Bond for this one, is Sherlock’s criminal mastermind Andrew Scott, Guardian of the Galaxy’s Dave Bautista, Monica Bellucci, Léa Seydoux, and the always amazing Christoph Waltz. Skyfall‘s director Sam Mendes will return at the helm for Spectre and has said that while this is not a direct sequel to the previous film, it will be occurring in the same world, so we may see some of that film’s familiar faces.
