Time to pop some champagne and wake the neighbors with the news: Beverly Hills, 90210 is officially coming back to the Fox television network.

That’s right, Gen Xers and those who love their pop culture: Original stars Jason Priestley (Brandon), Jennie Garth (Kelly), Ian Ziering (Steve), Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea), Brian Austin Green (David) and Tori Spelling (Donna) are all set to return to a fresh new resurgence of the legendary teen high school TV show which all but defined the ’90s.

This isn’t your garden-variety reboot, however. Not by a long shot. In order to save everyone the embarrassment of watching middle-aged versions of our high school heroes, the writers and producers have crafted an unexpectedly unique take on the original story.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the reboot will offer up a unique spin on “reality TV.” Check out the official description of the show and start clearing space on your DVR, because this one sounds like a winner:

“Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended nineteen years ago, Jason, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Brian, and Tori reunite when one of them suggests it’s time to get a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot up and running. But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself. What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends, and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast—whom the whole world watched grow up together—attempts to continue from where they left off?” (Just reading that paragraph makes me feel like Glenn Close spying Billy Porter’s tuxedo gown on the Oscars red carpet this year).

Beverly Hills, 90210 left an indelible impact on pop culture and an entire generation,” Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn told THR. “Its powerful legacy is an important part of our network’s DNA—bold stories not told anywhere else and bigger-than-life-characters—and we’re honored to bring back the beloved original cast members for 90210.”

As of yet, there is no indication that original 90210 stars Shannon Doherty and/or Luke Perry will be involved in the reboot.

The actors who are part of the reboot cast have taken to social media to spread the word about the new show, and they sound even more fired up than the fans.

“This Summer… so excited to be working with all these good people again!” shared Jason Priestley via Instagram.

“We’re coming HOME,” added Tori Spelling on Twitter, dropping the first teaser from the rebooted series. Watch it below.
