Iggy Pop is an artist who’s made a name for himself, in large part, because he’s unpredictable—and he was certainly able to throw the world for a loop with 1982 album, Zombie Birdhouse. Produced by Chris Stein of Blondie on his own Animal Records label, the full-length was marked by Pop’s free-association lyricism and freak-out experimental moments like “Watching the News.”

Now, Caroline International is reissuing Zombie Birdhouse on vinyl and CD for the first time since the initial 1982 release. A special edition on orange vinyl will be limited to just eight hundred copies, and the reissue will include the original version of “Pain & Suffering,” featuring Blondie’s Debbie Harry on backing vocals.
