When I was in high school, I went to an enormous pop-up haunted house in the parking lot of our local mall where it became clearer and clearer within each successive room that it was less about evil spirits and more about saving teens from eternal damnation via the Good Word of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. At the end of the event, we all had to sit down with a Catholic priest, who grilled us on our church-going habits, denomination, and other personal questions that were considerably scarier than anything I’d had in mind before entering the tent.

This is all to say that cult rockers Daughters have just announced a co-headlining tour with witchy noise trio HEALTH, a pairing of eternally damned Nick Cave sermons on self-loathing over buzzsaw guitars with haunted, pulsating dance-punk encouraging listeners to love one another. To set both disparate moods, the pair is bringing along NYC hardcore radicals Show Me the Body, to get us in a particularly capitalism-smashing mood with fascist-damning chants of “No work will set you free.”
The tour kicks off December 4 in San Francisco and consists of fourteen dates, ending in Boston on December 21. If you’re feeling agnostic, feel free to stop by the merch table on the way out—though the questions shouldn’t get too personal.
Tickets go on sale Friday, August 16, at 10 a.m. EST. Full dates below.
