Given that the reality of 2015 is suddenly here and glaring down upon us (meaning that the year 1980 is just as close as the year 2050…), it seems like a good time to look back and appreciate the trail-blazing set of games that were made for Microsoft’s first widespread operating system, MS-DOS.

The good folks at the Internet Archive seemed to think so, too, as they’ve just uploaded nearly 2,400 MD-DOS games onto their site, available to play for free (unless, of course, you believe that time equals money, in which case you’re screwed).

All the classics are there: Oregon Trail. Street Fighter. Umm… Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade? Apparently that was a thing.

See for yourself, and take a dive into the ghost of gaming’s past here.
