Talking Heads 1980 live performance

OK, this is rather amazing. Behold: Talking Heads live. Nope, sorry, no Coachella reunion this year (best let some things go, gang), but this might be better.

Dangerous Minds unearthed this footage (via the Talking Heads Music Vault on YouTube) of the Heads at the peak of their career, just one month after the release of the seminal, Eno-produced Remain in Light, roughly three years before Jonathan Demme’s untouchable live performance film Stop Making Sense, and a decade before the band officially broke up.

Performed on November 4, 1980 in Passaic, New Jersey, the set list includes a familiar opener of “Psycho Killer,” as well as Remain in Light singles “Once in a Lifetime,” “Crosseyed and Painless,” “Born Under Punches (The Heat Goes On),” and more. Awesome:
