LISTEN: Jónsi & Alex Somers Drop New Album “Lost and Found”

Their North American Riceboy Sleeps tour kicks off today.

Jónsi (frontman of Sigur Rós) and his partner Alex Somers are kicking off the first North American live performances of their ambient album Riceboy Sleeps tonight in Seattle. In honor of the album’s tenth anniversary, the duo have shared a new work: Lost and Found, a record made in collaboration with the pair’s friend and producer Sidney Satorsky.

Somers describes the project as “a sibling album to Riceboy Sleeps. It falls somewhere between what was, what is, and what will be. Tape experiments, modular synth processing, and acoustic soundscapes drift in and out of focus. Sound friends that you may have heard or seen before appear; familiar, but different.”
