It seems like Tame Impala has been making headlines all year, whether it’s because of a pair of new singles released by Kevin Parker or his band’s frequent headlining spots at major U.S. music festivals, including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits—not to mention a few overseas, including Helsinki’s Flow Festival. But that’s done little to distract us from the fact that the Aussie neo-psych monoliths haven’t released an album in nearly five years.

After years (or perhaps months) of patience, all that is changing—today, the band has announced their fourth record, The Slow Rush, slated for release next year on Valentine’s Day. Along with the previously released “Borderline,” the album will also feature the newly released “It Might Be Time,” which continues Tame Impala’s migration toward synth-heavy pop.
