We have plenty of evidence to support the claim that The Strokes will finally be following up 2013’s Comedown Machine this year with a new LP—not least of which being the band themselves sharing this news at their New Year’s Eve show a few weeks ago in Brooklyn.
Additionally, the band is playing shows—following news of a smattering of South American dates and East Coast festival slots in the coming months, West Coasters can finally rejoice at the reveal that the band is playing a series of shows this March, beginning in Vancouver and making their way down to LA after a stop in Seattle. With Alvvays set to open these shows, they’ve also shared that King Princess will be joining them for their March 14 show at LA’s Forum.
