The Strokes Set to Open for Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire

In the midst of announcing 2020 dates, the band marks February 10 as a campaign day.

Just days after Vampire Weekend and Bon Iver proved their allegiance to Team Bernie, The Strokes are getting in on the action. Preceding a brief set of West Coast dates, Julian Casablancas and his band will be hitting New Hampshire to support Senator Bernie Sanders at his February 10 Get Out the Vote Concert Rally in Durham.

“We are honored to be associated with such a dedicated, diligent, and trustworthy patriot—and fellow native New Yorker!” Casablancas shared in a press statement. “As the only truly non-corporate candidate, Bernie Sanders represents our only chance to overthrow corporate power and help return America to democracy. This is why we support him.”

The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Whittemore Center Arena, and the event is open to the public with a VIP section reserved for “super volunteers,” or anyone who’s canvassed over 250 houses within the state. RSVP is encouraged—you can do so here.
