WATCH: Jehnny Beth Shares Steamy Anthony Byrne–Directed Video for “Flower”
The Savages singer and Peaky Blinders director team up for an erotically charged clip.
Looks like the 2019 pole-dance-aissance is extending into the new decade—coming off the conservative outcry following J-Lo’s Super Bowl halftime performance, Jehnny Beth’s new video for her previously shared single “Flower” follows suit, as the Savages frontwoman shares a hotel room with a dancer in her second collaboration with Peaky Blinders director Anthony Byrne.
The video recreates the dichotomy of tender verses and abrasive choruses with Jehnny alternating between placid voyeur and physical accomplice in this steamy romance, shot in stark black-and-white. Watch it below. (Probably save this one for when you get home from work!)
Jehnny’s debut solo album, To Love Is to Live, drops May 8 via Caroline Records, which will be followed shortly after with her debut book, Crimes Against Love Manifesto (C.A.L.M.). The book will compile several of the songwriter’s erotic short stories, as well as photography from her collaborator Johnny Hostile. C.A.L.M. is out June 11 via White Rabbit.
