March 26, 2020

In case you’ve spent the past week at a remote desert retreat, we’re currently undergoing a global pandemic requiring everyone to remain indoors as much as possible, consequently depriving us of any and all live music. The music industry was quick to remedy this financial blow as best they could with live streams, and we’ve already seen some great covers (and interesting living rooms) a few days into our collective quarantine.

We’ll be updating this page daily to keep you up to date on who’s doing what, where, and when.

hello from the void ? like so many of you i’m at home waiting all of this out. walking the line of optimism & pessimism, feeling grateful & feeling burned. pure emotional disorientation. as some of you know : our spring tour has been postponed. i’ve taken a very long time between tours & in my months of quiet preparation for saint cloud, i was on the track moving enthusiastically toward being lit up & ecstatic & social & READY to be with the people & be with the songs. never in my wildest anxiety-riddled dreams would i have ever predicted this & yet here we all are. i’ve been grieving what was supposed to be for the last week & running through all the downsides of having the plan be upended. interestingly i’m landing in some pretty light & spirited places. shit is so scary but i’m hoping that in our collective respite we can take good care, be creative, love each other, read some books, be productive, stay connected & know that eventually we’ll all emerge having done what we could as a species to fight a shared obstacle. please please please stay home if you’re able. take it seriously. because this truly is a shared obstacle. ? thursday at 9 EST/6 PST @kevinmorby & i are gonna go live here on ig to play songs, take guests, have a nice evening with y’all. tune in then. ? thanks for all the “can’t do much” love yesterday. i’m so happy to be putting out some new tunes in the midst of this strange foggy bedlam. feels like we all need that stuff now more than ever. more info on the tour some time soon. we’ll all be back together eventually. so much love to all of you. ?
