LISTEN: Sam Spiegel Remixes Viral Song “I Wonder What’s Inside Your Butthole”

Eight-year-old Jolee Dunn’s self-penned inquisitive track gets fleshed out with a full band.

It’s the question that’s been on everyone’s minds since eight-year-old Jolee Dunn sang it earlier this month—What’s inside your butthole? If the twenty-second, near-a-cappella original song wasn’t stuck in your head before, it’s certain to be now thanks to DJ/producer/N.A.S.A. co-founder Sam Spiegel, who’s shared some brand new reworks of the breaking artist’s debut single.

Spiegel—who’s previously collaborated with Dunn in his Wu-Tang in Space Eating Impossible Sliders web series—took what Dunn started and built an eighty-second, full-band rendition of the track, which fortifies the kid’s anatomical speculations with driving guitar and synth lines. Additionally, he remixed his own track with a bass-heavy, trap-conscious cut passing the two-minute mark. Hear both versions below.

The project appropriately precedes Random Shit From the Internet Era, Spiegel’s new collection of songs out June 26. While there’s no word on any Jolee Dunn verses, the record promises collaborations from Freddie Gibbs, RZA, Anderson .Paak, Doja Cat, and others.
