With a tumultuous and spectacular 2014 behind him, Ariel Pink has continued his vision of a pom pom universe today with a new video for the album closer “Dayzed Inn Daydreams.” Directed by Grant Singer, the bleak and beautiful affair depicts a day in the life of a washed-up rock star (played by Rick Wilder of The Mau-Mau’s).
Following the videos for “Put Your Number in My Phone” and “Picture Me Gone,” this marks the third collaboration between Singer and Pink, with the latter only appearing briefly in this newest adventure of poignant mundanity.
