With Lollapalooza recently paving the way for outdoor music festivals’ persistence through a global pandemic, today the Bay Area festival Outside Lands has announced the lineup for its end-of-the-month festivities. Sensibly rebranded as Inside Lands, the free online fest promises live and previously unseen archival sets, as well as interviews, from Gorillaz, D’Angelo, Sharon Van Etten, HAIM, Brittany Howard, Anderson .Paak, Beach House, Disclosure, Kehlani, and many more. News of the 2020 fest arrives a few months after Outside Lands announced a massive lineup for 2021, already locking in tons of big names including Vampire Weekend, J Balvin, The 1975, Young Thug, JPEGMAFIA, Big Thief, Burna Boy, Angel Olsen, Rico Nasty, Moses Sumney, and Nelly.
You can receive scheduling updates via the fest’s Twitch page leading up to the event on the weekend of August 28. The fest is free, though any donations will benefit Outside Lands Works, which aids arts and culture nonprofits local to the Bay Area. More info on that here.
