Public Enemy have managed to stay in the spotlight for much of 2020, from their Bernie Sanders rally appearance and the bizarre publicity-stunt inter-band beef that followed, to the new singles, remixes, and guest verses they’ve contributed the past few months, to their forthcoming art show and thirty-year celebration of Fear of a Black Planet. All of this led to the news of a brand new album—their first in over twenty years—of which we’re catching a first glimpse of the track list today.

Among the lengthy list of collaborators on What You Gonna Do When the Grid Goes Down’s seventeen songs are George Clinton, Cypress Hill, Run-D.M.C., DJ Premier, Beastie Boys’ Ad-Rock and Mike D, and Ice-T—not to mention the “Fight the Power: Remix 2020” that sees verses from Nas, Rapsody, Black Thought, Questlove, YG, which you can hear below.
