Homeboy Sandman has announced a new album Don’t Feed the Monster produced by Quelle Chris. The lead single “Trauma” is out today.

About working with Homeboy Sandman, Chris says that he “finds balance in using his words to self medicate, reflect and express himself while also deeply taking into consideration how it will feed, medicate and effect his fans/listeners in the now and the future.”

“I was having a hard time and this record saved me,” Homeboy Sandman said. “Thank Quelle and thank God and shout to Gabor Maté.”

The introspection track is explicit in its reckoning with childhood trauma, but the growth and healing shine through by the end. Don’t Feed the Monster is sure to be a powerful journey, arriving October 16 via Mello Music Group. It’s available for pre-order here. Purchase “Trauma” here, and listen to it below.
